inFamous 2: Little Big New Old Cole

June 7th, you cannot come soon enough.  So, what does Infamous 2 bring to the table to shake things up a little on this crowded gaming table? Well, first let’s start with the salt: new powers. Yup, Cole is getting his powers super sized in the sequel to the 09’ Playstation chart topper. A new power introduced in the video below is a lightning tornado. Yeah, don’t try to adjust your bifocals, you read that right; TORNADO. I imagine, it’s kind of like this:

Tornado from Twister Movie

Twister

Except probably with less cow…but hopefully not. This attack looks pretty devastating, not only to the new destructible environments but also to the lowly thugs you’ll do battle with throughout the game.

Alright, so that covers the salt. Now let’s move on to the pepper. Sucker punch decided to go Little Big Planet on this sequel and has introduced User Generated Missions (UGM). If I recall correctly they were accepting entries into the beta awhile back.  This all seems pretty neat and I’m pretty sure that if the community can get behind it, then it’ll provide replay-ability ten-fold. I do love me some Little Big Planet.

Now without further adieu here’s a video to whet your Infamous 2 appetites. The video shows off a bit of the UGM within Infamous 2.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not judging the whole UGM concept on this video. It seems a bit thin but I will give them the benefit of the doubt, it definately adds that little extra to the game. So long as the storyline and main missions don’t suffer from this, then I’m stoked that it’s been added.

June 7th, please hurry up and get here.

This design is steller! You obviously know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
